Harry Potter Saga continues with the seventh intrigue...

J.K. Rowling revealed the title Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on its official site on December 21, 2006. The exact direction is difficult to return in French for several reasons :

  • The two terms have multiple directions and belong to particular registers of language, it would thus be necessary to partly know the history to know which direction to choose:
    • Hallow means " holy " or " apostle ". This word is seldom employed – usual English prefers to him holy for substantive or holy for adjective – but is found mainly in the ecclesiastical register, like All Hallows' Day " the day of All Saints' day ", All-Hallows summer, or Halloween (abbreviation of All-Hallows' Eve, " day before of All Saints' day "). By extension, and in the register even more antiquated, the form plural hallows can indicate a relic of a saint, or the mounting which contains it ;
    • Deathly is an adjective which can either be synonymous with deadly " mortal ", or to mean " cadaveric paleness " or " blafard ". It is a term relatively little used in current English.

With the question " That Deathly Hallows means ", J.K. Rowling has answered] : " would Any explanation as for the significance of Hallows reveal too much the history, be-it-not ? Considering it is the title and all. Thus I am afraid well to be able to answer. "

The French title, Harry Potter and the Relics of Dead were officially revealed by Gallimard on June 6, 2007

The Small + ++

  • J K Rowling announced that this book would be dark. It confirmed that several important characters will perish during this book (a minimum of two dead).
    This book will be moreover the last of the saga Harry Potter.
    Indeed, J.K. Rowling decided to close the intrigue in this volume what means that no continuation will be written of its hand.

The English and American cover of volume 7, is visible and was translated into French.
One can read with the back of the English version for adult:

"Harry was charged ofd a dark, dangerous task and which seems impossible : to find and destroy Horcruxes remainders of Voldemort.
Harry is never smelled also only, nor never dealt with future also filled shades. But D’a way or another, Harry must find in him the force to achieve task one gave him. It must leave heat, the safety and the company of the Burrow, and follow without fear, nor hesitation the inexorable way which extends in front of him !
In this seventh and last tome cheese of the series Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling reveals the answers to the many questions which were put since so a long time.

Lastly, Bloomsbury announced that the English version would make 608 pages. The American version will make 784 pages, and the French version approximately 850 pages.
